Prima Ballerina was taken during the juried Long Island Ballet Competition. No flash was allowed. Color balance and control for stage lighting is certainly the pits.

This particular leap was more upward than forward motion. I saw the routine during warmups. She performed it 2x during the weekend. For the tiniest moment she hovered with amost no forward, up or downward momentum. I would never have made the capture on film, on my d70 or d2x (too much noise).
